During your visit, you will meet one-on-one with your doctor, who will perform an ultrasound, answer your questions, and discuss your options and future birth control.

You will take the abortion pill in the office. You will take another medicine 24 hours later, which will cause bleeding to start. Very heavy bleeding lasts for about two hours. It can be very uncomfortable. We will give you a prescription for pain medicine.

A Pap smear must be done with a GYN exam, so if you are taking the abortion pill, a Pap smear would require a separate office visit (which we can arrange for you).
