A medical abortion, also called a pill abortion (Mifeprex, RU-486), may be an option early in pregnancy. The doctor will explain the process carefully, discuss whether a pill abortion is appropriate for you, and make sure you understand what to expect. It can be given on the day of your first appointment or can even be taken at home. Requires a 2-week follow-up (included).

Surgical abortion is performed in our private GYN office. In most cases, it can be performed the same or the next day. We provide experienced, compassionate surgical abortion care in a calm and supportive setting. The procedure is usually accomplished in less than 5 minutes under "twilight" (IV) sedation. Performed through 15 weeks. Most women can return to normal activity that same afternoon.

Recently got a procedure done here and the doctor was very open about both pill and surgery options, as someone who has gone through with the pill previously through planned parenthood, I was extremely nervous to be doing it again(I originally planned on doing the pill b/c the thought of surgery terrified me. The doctor talked to us all directly as a group which was great, him talking and explaining what exactly was going to happen gave me the confidence to get the surgery over the pill, they sedated me and all other patients as well with no extra cost and I barley remember what happened, the nurses were very sweet and offered snacks after the procedure, I also took this time to get an iud since I would be sedated, great for someone like me that has very low pain tolerance and fear of doctors, I appreciate the nurses for their hard work and thank you to the doctor for being open about both options.
